Attendance - 2nd Place!!

Our for last week was 97.6%. Well done we exceeded the target of 96% but unfortunately Year 2SB beat us to 1st place. Lets try again this week. Come on 1RW!

Unfortunately we didn't do very well on attendance last week and had a lot of absences. Our target is to get at least 96% and we only managed to get 93.9%. Whilst we appreciate that children do get poorly please can we make sure that unless it is absolutely necessary to keep them off children come to school. It really does impact their learning if they aren't here.

Weekly update

What a fantastic first week back. It has been lovely to hear about what the children have been up to in Easter holidays and also nice to see how quickly the children have got back into school routines.

We are currently 'upgrading' our reading area in class and would love some magazines or books the children don't read anymore at home to add to the area. Thank you in advance for any donations.

This week in Literacy we have started reading the story "Man on the Moon". We went on an exciting mission to Space and landed on the Moon, it was lots of fun! The children have written some amazing diary entries about their special trip. We also made souvenirs for Bob Souvenir shop ion the Moon using junk modelling.

In Maths we have have practiced counting in tens and then started to look at comparing height and length.

In Topic we have started to make our own Moon using  papier-mâché.

Homework- This week we would like the children to compare the length and height of objects …

Spellings to be tested on Friday 20th April:

now how brown down town out about mouth sound                                                                                you

Please make you're you are practicing these every day. This week the spelling results dropped drastically. It would be good to see more children getting 10/10 certificates next Friday.

Attendance Award

Well Done (AGAIN) Year 1! We won the attendance award for the last week of the spring term. Keep up the good work.

End of term awards

In Assembly this morning children with 100% attendance for the full term were given a certificate and entered into a draw to win cinema tickets. Well Done Emmie for coming to school every day !
